About the Founder

Hello, I’m Heather and I am the Founder of Danville Social! 

When I first moved to the area, I often found myself overwhelmed while trying to discover all that our town had to offer. I wanted to know about the best schools for my kids, hidden gems for a quick bite, fun date night spots, and community events to get involved in. But, I quickly realized how time-consuming it was to sift through endless (often inaccurate) web searches. That’s when I had my lightbulb moment: why not create a centralized platform where locals and newcomers can find accurate, up-to-date information about Danville? And so, Danville Social was born.

My mission is to help newcomers and long-time residents discover everything our community offers while supporting local businesses along the way. From family-friendly activities to hidden dining gems and date night ideas, Danville Social is here to connect you with the best of Danville.

I am not a corporation or an over-sized business. I’m a single mom of 3 beautiful children, just supporting this beautiful area.  My love for Danville and the surrounding areas is what drives me to work hard.
When I’m not curating content for the site, you’ll find me exploring new spots around town, connecting with local business owners, or enjoying time with my family. I’m passionate about making Danville feel like home for everyone—one post at a time! Now with over 10k followers on social media and over 10k views/month on my website, I’m grateful to have your support!
