Lunar New Year Celebration

CELEBRATE LUNAR NEW YEAR
January 25 & 26, 2020

Join us on January 25th at 1pm to kick off the celebration of Lunar New Year in Grand Court with LionDanceME performing traditional Lion Dancing. LionDanceME was founded by Norman Lau in 2012 and he has brought the art of Lion Dance to new heights. Lions bring luck wherever they go and there is no better way to kick off the Lunar New Year. At 2pm EastBay WeDance Team will perform several traditional Chinese dances including waist drum dancing, YangGe ribbon dance, Chinese Qi-Pao, Tibet style dancing and more all performed in colorful costumes. In addition, the first 138 guests to visit our Simon Guest Services will receive a special treat plus select retailers are offering special activities and promotions during this time.

On Sunday, January 26th at 1pm everyone is invited to partake in a free Tai Chi class led by Margaret Zhao who is an award winning author and much sought after teacher of Tai Chi/Qigong and Natural Healing Arts. She is also the President of the local nonprofit organization, Life Renewing Center with the mission “to empower people to take charge of their health naturally”. Plus enjoy complimentary tea before and after the Tai Chi class.

Saturday, January 25th
1PM: Traditional Lion Dancing performed by LionDanceME
2PM – 3:30PM: Traditional Chinese Dances performed by EastBay WeDance Team

Sunday, January 26th
1PM: Tai Chi Class led by Margaret Zhao of local non-profit, Life Renewing Center
