As we head into the weekend, take a look at these exciting events going on around the area! Happy weekend!

Java & Jazz Series, 8/23
This fun, informative series invites you to the Concord Museum and Event Center to enjoy coffee, pastries and a morning filled with all things jazz. Taking place 8/23, from 10AM-12PM. Admission is a donation of $5. Proceeds benefit the Concord Historical Society. Attendees will receive a complimentary logo coffee tumbler with each ticket purchase.

Blow UP! Inflatable Contemporary Art, 8/23-8/25
Available Tuesdays-Sundays, BLOW UP II explores the imaginative ways that artists use air as a tool for creating large-scale sculpture and includes imagery that is figurative and abstract. Accessible, yet rich with meaning, these pieces use perception of space to open a dialogue about pop culture and social norms. BLOW UP II will feature large-scale artworks by a roster of internationally renowned artists not before seen at the Bedford.

Earthquake Street Festival, 8/23
Head over to Downtown Winters for their 28th Annual Earthquake Street Festival on 8/23 and enjoy; live entertainment, food vendors, wine, beer, craft vendors and kids entertainment. From 4PM-11PM.

Family Sundown Safari at the Oakland Zoo, 8/23
Grab your tent, sleeping bag, your family, and a few friends and get ready for an overnight adventure at Oakland Zoo. This unique program includes dinner, nighttime and morning activities, live animal presentations, s’mores, and a hot morning breakfast! This program is available to all families with children ages 4 and up. If you love nature, the Zoo, camping, and fun then this is the perfect program for you!

Danville Local, John D. Archimede will be performing at FAZ Restaurant, in the Sheraton Hotel, Pleasanton every Friday night! There will be FREE pizza, chips & salsa at Happy Hour!

Date Night Cooking Class at Sur La Table, 8/23

Artistry in Motion Dance Show, 8/23-8/24
Best of the East Bay winners for Best Dance Troupe, Mother/daughter Co-Artistic Directors Debbie Saravia and Lindsey Saravia-Neville strive to entertain and inspire our audiences by creating diverse choreography set to a variety of musical genres. Our September 27 & 28 show ‘Artistry in Motion’ will include Jazz, Tap and Contemporary choreography closing with fan favorite finale Sing, Sing, Sing.

Neon Jump Night at Rockin’ Jump, 8/23

Tour De Fox: Wine Country Ride, 8/24
By joining the Tour de Fox 2019 Series, you’re helping us close the gap on a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Riders of any experience level, event volunteers, and finish line party-goers are all welcome!

Makers Mark Craft Fair, Broadway Plaza, 8/24
Enjoy this FREE event and come shop a variety of local artists (jewelers, candles, organic body, home goods, apparel, artwork, glass, succulents) while listening to live music out in the Plaza and then enjoy spirits and bites (next to Janie and Jack).

Pet Adoption Event, 8/24
Sit. Stay. Love. A pet adoption event at Anthropologie at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon this Saturday, 8/24 from 11AM-3PM.

Concord Taco Fest, 8/24

Official Tower of Power Band will perform at the beautiful Fox Theater in Oakland on 8/24!

Retro Junkie: Yacht Party, 8/24
9pm-11pm: Performing Live is DROPPIN’ ANCHOR (Yacht Rock Party feat. sounds of the Doobie Brothers, Hall and Oats, Toto, Men at Work and other smooth sailing hits of the early 80’s). From, 11pm-2am: Resident DJ Darker Daze spinning 80’s, 90’s, early 00’s throwback! 4,600 SQ FT feat. Game Room with Pool Tables, Pinball, Arcade Games.

Memory & Imagination Exhibit Reception, 8/25
The latest exhibition at the Village Theatre Art Gallery is Memory & Imagination, featuring art by the residents of the Reutlinger Community. Reception is on 8/25, from 2PM-4PM, at the Village Theatre Art Gallery.

Cheese & Spirit Pairing Flight with Tour, 8/25
The Hangar 1 Vodka Distillery has a unique Cheese & Spirit Pairing on 8/25, at 2:30PM. Try curated cheeses from a local Bay Area cheese specialist matched perfectly with very special Hangar 1 vodkas, including the newest additions, two barrel-aged vodkas and our first foray into brandy, Bentwing.
