Featuring all your favorite scenes from the classic movie, A Christmas Story: The Musical is brimming with hilarious moments and a lively, energetic score. Veteran’s Day Celebration, 11/8, 11/9, & 11/10. Veterans Memorial Building, Danville
Help honor our Veterans by participating in some of the activities all weekend for Veterans Day! A special tribute video and slide show will be shown honoring Vietnam Veterans and other Veterans service organizations will be hosting an extended open house at the Veterans Memorial Building, showcasing the military displays, military vehicles and more! This will be from 8 am-5 pm. The cost is FREE!

The Ice at the Veranda is opening on Friday, November 8th! Be one of the first on the ice that weekend! You can also purchase your season tickets and save $10 per ticket if purchased 11/8-11/10.

Neighborhood Toy Store Day, 11/8, 11/9, & 11/10. Games Unlimited, Danville
To celebrate, from Nov. 8th through Nov. 10th Games Unlimited will be offering 20% OFF all merchandise, raffle prizes, and will have demo stations for you to try out their newest toys and games, no purchase necessary! Lights, Camera, Auction Fundraiser, 11/9. Oak Hill Community Center, Danville
The Liza Maribel Foundation presents this Auction to provide support, educational programs, and resources to hundreds of foster children, survivors of domestic violence, and rescued sex trafficking children. What better way to enjoy a night out for a good cause? Purchase tickets here!

Get Your Skate On! Children, families, and the young-at-heart are invited to kick off the ice skating season with the Children’s Winter Festival from 11 am-1 pm. Rob Mayeda weekend weather anchor from NBC Bay Area will emcee this popular annual event. With support from our friends at Broadway Plaza, festivities will include a star performance by Sochi Olympian Polina Edmunds. Pizza by Rocco’s Ristorante Pizzeria, hot chocolate, snow cones, and a photo booth all promise a fun way for families to begin the ice skating season. Free admission and skates for the first 250 guests; $5 admission until 5 p.m., and then a regular price of $15 per person. Includes skate rentals.

Pinot’s Palette at Round Table Pizza for an All-Ages Event. 11/10. 2 pm-3:30 pm, Danville
A fun retro polar bear to cheer up your holiday decorations! This is an all-age offsite event at Round Table Pizza located in Downtown Danville. Painters will be painting on a 10×10 canvas or $10.00 more on a canvas tote. You must register here!

Adopt-a-Family Bikes, 17th Annual Used Bike Drive. 11/10. St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Danville
This Sunday, from 9:30 am- 2:30 pm, they will be collecting gently used bikes, and bike trailers at, 1550 Diablo Rd., Danville(St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church back parking lot). A $15 donation is requested to help defray costs for helmets, locks, and parts.

Contra Costa Con, 11/10. Concord
