Role Players Ensemble Presents: Honky

This event has ended

Honky by Greg Kalleres The contentious story of race in America seems to be a never-ending tale. Honky is a hilarious and absurd take on the language of race and racism. Political correctness goes out the window as five people both black and white puzzle through one of the most difficult conversations of our time. Each performance will be followed by a lively discussion.

FEBRUARY 1 – 17, 2019
DIRECTED BY KATJA RIVERA
PRODUCED BY PETER PETROSKI

Honky, the first play in 2019, opened in New York in 2013. Role Players presented a “script in hand” performance of Honky in June 2017. After receiving a very positive response from the audience, Artistic Director Eric Fraisher Hayes decided to produce it on the Village Theatre stage. He plans to have “talk back” reviews following most of the presentations of this play.
